I am obsessed with how the book begins with Amani and the feather and ends with Amani and the bird. It is in many ways a dark ending, but the tesleet provides hope and purpose, and I know for a fact that Court of Lions is a wonderful and powerful and satisfying ending to this duology. (And it gives the people what they want-- if "the people" are me, and "what they want" is MARAM!!!)
