Whenever you don’t have a clue what’s going on, I’ve always found, it never hurts to be polite.
I’ve never really bought the idea that His Divine Majesty can spare some attention from the job of preventing the entire galaxy from sliding into damnation to look out for my interests, too, or anyone else’s for that matter, which is why I’m so diligent about doing it for myself.
To my way of thinking, anyone still in the target area was there by choice, and any civilians who hadn’t fled were either traitors themselves or so stupid we were doing future generations a favour by removing them from the gene pool.
