To try to win a soul for Christ by keeping that soul in ignorance of any truth is contrary to the mind of the Spirit.

While trembling under a sense of insecurity, a man gives his foremost thoughts to his own interests. But when planted firmly on the Rock of ages, he possesses time and heart to voice the new song which the Lord has put into his mouth.

It’s not the way we deliver the gospel, nor our method of illustrating it, which wins souls. The gospel itself does the work in the hands of the Holy Spirit. It is to Him we must look for the thorough conversion of men.
