You cannot find what you are looking for. But that is not because it doesn’t exist. If we seek something, it definitely exists. The problem is that what we seek may not be real. And if it is not real, we will never find it. It exists solely in our delusional longing, always a half-step out of reach.
We fall in love with an idea of who we are, and then we protect it. To the death. Everything becomes about us.
Being in your life is already a challenge, but it is an even greater challenge to not be attached to your life, to experience that nothing is really about you in the way that you believe you are.
