When you make a living out of travel, you have to put your faith in the kindness of strangers, otherwise you’d never leave your hotel room.

It’s hard to explain the feeling of delight having climbed a mountain. It is more than victory or achievement, it goes beyond the ego and personal triumph. The real conquest lies in the sheer joy at having seen that view, one that few have witnessed; not because of pride or boastfulness but because, for a brief moment in time, you feel connected to the earth and all that’s in it.
