What’s amazing is that all of these methods agree with one another. They all reveal that our universe is roughly made up of a combination of regular matter, dark matter, and dark energy that’s 5 percent, 27 percent, and 68 percent. Even though we don’t know what each of these things are, we can say with fairly good confidence that we know how much of them there is. We have no idea what they are, but we know they are there.
