Infamy is temporary, celebrity is fleeting, but royalty…royalty is forever.
The prologue was written a few months before the rest of the manuscript and it really sets the stage for Nicholas’s relationship with the press and the fame he inherited. This line gave me chills when I wrote it. Here, it’s meant to convey the inescapable position of who Nicholas is, but by the end of the story, it means something very different to him.
