Rhythms describe the art of living a life embodied with meaning and intention in the same way God creates.
Sabbath reminds us that we belong because we are already accepted. Rest requires that we be who we are and nothing else. A life built upon Sabbath is contented because in rhythms of rest we discover our time is full of the holiness of God.
Starting is the hardest part of any good intention toward creating new rhythms.
“If faith is being sure of what we hope for, then being unsure of what we hope for is the antithesis of faith, isn’t it? Well-developed faith results in well-defined prayers, and well-defined prayers result in a well-lived life.”
Choosing Sabbath requires faith and trust, but the outcomes experienced aren’t only for you.
Our days are a collection of moments that make life beautiful. In our busyness, we tend to see life as one giant bouquet given by the Creator and miss the details in each flower he’s picked out for us. Sabbath helps me take account of where Jesus has been afoot in my days and notice the details with heightened awareness.
