In our experience, the ideal result of a design sprint is a backlog of hypotheses. This prioritized list of risks defines the work that the team must continue to validate throughout the project lifecycle. Design sprints also help us to better define the scope of our work — at least for the foreseeable future — allowing teams, both in-house and consulting, to provide their stakeholders with a more accurate timeline for product launch.
