It's All in the Planets

When we sign up for a long-term relationship, we are signing up on the basis of the current reality and current circumstances. These may change over a period of time. We ‘adjust’ our love and our lives accordingly and the relationship train chugs along. The allowances that we are willing to make for ‘transgressions’ from what we originally signed up for is directly proportional to the love you feel. If you feel deep love, you are willing to overlook many things. If you feel a disconnect, then the flaws begin to irk you. It is also important for both people in the relationship to feel the same way about core things that define them.

My love, my darling, my baby, my precious, my life, my Ani, No terms of endearment suffice. Trying to fit in terms of endearment to address you is like a human looking at the entire cosmos, the thousands of galaxies, several hundred billion stars, where he is not even a speck, and trying to capture this feeling in words. The longing for you is now a constant companion I carry in my heart. It surrounds me like a cloak and everything that I see is through this filter. It permeates every cell in my body. There is no waking moment that goes by without you on my mind. And if I could control my dreams when I sleep, I would dream only of you. I stare at pictures of you, memorizing every detail, every curve, every line on your face. I want to soak you in my eyes, keep you there. I could look at your picture for hours, and still keep staring endlessly. I lose myself in you. And I find myself in you. If happiness could be measured in electric current, the joy I feel when I hear your voice over the phone, or see you, would easily cross a million watts. If the disappointment I feel when we are finally forced to hang up the phone, or part from each other, could be measured in sound waves, it would easily beat the 400000-watt speakers at rock concerts. Except here, it is the sound of silence. Stillness. With you being so close one moment, and so far away the next when we part. Parting is agony. I long to be with you physically, inhale your scent, nibble your ear, run my hands through yo...
