Today renewables comprise 13 percent of installed electricity generation in the United States, but that’s not news. What is news is that in 2014, 53.3 percent of new generation installed in the United States was either wind or solar, and this percentage is predicted to only grow. Texas is aiming for 75 percent renewable power generation by 2050.
