If, as ancient traditions proclaimed, beauty is a force unto itself, it is perhaps the strangest of nature’s forces. Unlike gravity and electromagnetism, which seem to exist with or without us, the power of beauty appears to be dormant until we give it our attention. While it may very well have the power to change our world, that power is asleep until it’s awakened. And we are the only ones who can awaken it!
