The critical thinker who can take a step back and reflect on what is wanted, what the question is that needs to be answered, will be the person all look to in this new era. That person will have what scientists call executive function skills: the ability to inhibit old solutions to problems and to rapidly shift to a new approach, as well as the ability to craft the plan needed to make that problem a thing of the past.
