She held tight to her Why. She wanted the money and success for the freedom it gave her, to take care of her family, to prove to herself that she could do it. Also, she wasn’t terribly psyched about the prospect of losing her entire life savings if the business tanked. She went to the spiritual gym. She constantly read books by other entrepreneurs, she had pictures taped to her walls of women who’d done stuff like run successful restaurants in war zones, she memorized poems, meditated, and constantly reminded herself that uncertainty is part of the process.
