Everyone has a story

Every day, I woke up; I tried to find reasons to live. Every night, when I slept, I tried to find reasons to not die. Every moment, I tried to find reasons to hope, dream and love. But I never found them. Until I met you.

‘Live life in moments, not in days or years or your schedules. It’s our misconception—most of the time—that we live our lives the way we want. Every single step that we take is influenced by others. Only the part that we hide from everyone else and keep deep within our heart, is our own.

‘Life is not meant to be caged in your hometown, but it should be a wondrous place to be explored.

I sometimes pity humans for not being able to migrate the same way animals can. There are no boundaries for animals, except what they are incapable of doing for themselves. Humans seem to be the only creatures who say they live freely, but they are bound by the restrictions they place for themselves.

Everyone wants to run away from one thing or another. At times, I want to run away from my own self.

‘Won’t you get lonely?’ ‘Maybe,’ I admitted. ‘Maybe I will. But a person needs to learn how to be alone.’

Why is it we are so anxious in our need to mature? It only opens us up for the possibility to get very, very hurt.

If emotions were colours, I know I would have witnessed a beautiful piece of artwork in a few seconds’ time.

‘Love is powerful,’ Kabir continued. ‘It can make you do things you could never imagine doing otherwise.’

Now I was trying hard to fit back into that place where I once belonged before he entered my life.

Some people are here to teach us lessons while other people will be here forever as we grow old together.

if two souls are destined to meet, the universe will always find a way to make the connection. Even when you lose all hope, certain bonds cannot be broken. They show us who we were, who we are and who we can become. Amidst everything, nature will always find a way.’

I don’t want to come home whole; instead, I want to leave a piece of me in each place I have been. And thus, it would be an even exchange, as I take a piece of each place I visit.’

Love is a peculiar thing, I mused, watching them embrace. When you love, you have so much to be grateful for and to live for, but when you lose it, you go on with every single day as if you are just a shell. Survival is the only reason one is on this earth. It has nothing to do with the fact that you feel anything as powerful as love any longer.

In the end, we always regret the choices we didn’t make, the love we didn’t accept and the dreams we didn’t fight for.

‘some women can steal your heart by their beauty, some can steal your mind by their intelligence and others can steal your soul by their presence. But if you meet the one who can steal your everything without doing anything, that’s the one made for you.’

She was the universe in which I was discovering myself for the first time.

I realized I could think about him without that deep, biting hurt that I’d been carrying for months.

sometimes the smallest changes in life are where the largest impacts come from.

the worst thing a man could do was make a woman fall in love with him and have no intention to love her back.

She would know the truth and know that deep down inside she could never replace Radha, but she could find another piece of my heart that would be just for her.

Some pieces of life find themselves so attached to our mind that when they are gone, they remind us of themselves a lot more than before. Yet someday we will realize that every piece becomes blurry, every memory starts fading. Just like an old book.

embrace every day, even the rough ones. Each day is your very own page, and you have the power to write the words on those pages. Be courageous, and be strong, but don’t forget it is okay to be weak at times, too.’
