what should i do with this longing? tuck it away like a letter that i’m too afraid to send?

i want to get drunk off your words and become undone like ribbons with each and every syllable.

i lie in bed with pen and paper because it never puts on its clothes and leaves— even when i struggle to write the next line.

i would eat all the stars just for you to see the light in my eyes.

i don’t have much to bring but a broken heart that feeds on flesh and poetry. i’ll disappoint you

my love is clumsy. it bumps into everything and apologizes excessively.

tears swell in the wells of my eyes. love is a constant side effect of mine.

it’s time to set these pages free and i don’t give a damn how you feel about it.

i was bound to drown but the warrior in me prevailed.
