Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up

Your life doesn’t have to be perfect for you to be proud. In fact, I think it’s the opposite: the more imperfect your life has been, the prouder you should be, because it means you’ve come that much further, and also probably had a lot more fun along the way.

I plan to live a long time, and I want each stage of my life to get progressively more fancy.

what I was doing counts as fraud, and I could have gone to jail. There are characters on Orange Is the New Black who were locked up for less than what I was doing.

Cory’s gone, and I miss him, and that is what it is. The only consolation I have is that I’ve always trusted that God has a plan for me, and he must have had one for Cory too, even if I don’t understand it.

I know that as much as acting is about performing and having a big personality, it’s also about doing a good job.

Never feel bad about cutting someone out of your life—sometimes that’s the only option. When you hang out with people who are true friends, you come away feeling lighter, more inspired to work hard, give love, and take care of yourself.

A friendship is just as much give-and-take and compromise as a romantic relationship, so you will get out what you put in.

if you are committed to being your honest and authentic self, then you are going to piss a few people off here and there.

Everyone is always telling you to love yourself, though no one ever tells you how to go about doing it.
