Chanakya cautions mankind to never accept a religion, which is bereft of compassion; not to consider a person as a Guru who is not a scholar; not take an extremely short-tempered woman as a wife. Similarly, never consider children, who lack affection; friends, who do not value friendship, dear and trustworthy.
