The effects of inherited trauma may not have started with us, but they can certainly end with us. How do we begin to heal? First, if we or one of our children struggle with unexplained symptoms—depression, anxiety, OCD, a phobia, a destructive behavior—we need to shake the family tree and see what falls out.
