No one tells us that we are good enough; there’s always something, some trait, they want us to develop. This conditioning creates a permanent sense of inadequacy in us. To overcome this, we begin our search outside. We start looking for other people who can approve of us, who can endorse us, who can give us a pat on the back. In doing so, we become increasingly distant from our own powers that we were born with.
