without me. Maybe I should be using the past tense? I’m not sure. I feel like I’m in the here and now, as if the future and the past don’t exist anymore. As if this moment could go on indefinitely. How will he feel about all this? He’ll be sad, I’m sure. Devastated, even. That’s understandable.
