Just because someone is not around to appreciate the complexities of who you are does not mean you deserve anything less than pure joy.
Who you are doesn’t cease to exist because there’s nobody there to admire it.
First and foremost, you will always belong to yourself.
You never meet the right people at the wrong time because the right people are timeless.
3. The person you could never love properly. The person whose words and body never fit right with yours, whose thoughts weren’t the yin to your yang, whose words never quite sounded right but whom you tried to love despite and because of it all. The person you tried to get it right with so hard that it felt like your heart would give up on beating, but who eventually had to let go. You cannot force love into existence. And letting it bloom somewhere else only makes us all freer in the end.
You need to learn what you have to offer, not just what you can take.
The person you’re going to fall in love with deserves all your beginnings and none of your endings.
I am tired of taking pride in being the one who cares less. It’s not a badge of honor to wear on your chest as a triumph of human detachment.
We need more people who care more, regardless of how that makes them look. More people who are, perhaps, precisely like you.
