So what happens if we understand the human vocation as bearing God’s image, of reflecting God’s wise authority into the world and the glad praises of creation back to God? What happens if we see “sin” in that context? Within that story, “sin” becomes the refusal of humans to play their part in God’s purposes for creation as a whole.
