"I do. That's why we're perfect together. You never speak and I never shut up. You're so lucky you found me."
"Nothing. She's just trouble.” "Trouble for you or trouble for the team?"
She’s so pretty that pretty isn’t even the word for it. It’s something that makes me feel like I can’t breathe on the rare occasions I see her smile. It’s that last part that worries me.
A single word that doesn't begin to express what I am feeling. No one has ever made an effort for me until now. I’m not sure why it hurts that he is.
"but I think he cares. And it's been a long time since I've seen my boy care about anything."
“I would do anything to fix this for you,” he says quietly, “and it kills me that I can’t. Tell me what to do.” It takes me a minute to reply. “You already make everything better,” I tell him. “And you’re the only one who ever has.”
That’s when I cup her jaw and capture that mouth I’ve longed for the whole goddamn night.
“Will, only an idiot could have looked at the two of you last night and not seen the truth.”
“I’ve been far from honorable for a long time,” I tell her. “And I’m not being honorable now either. I’m here because I love you. Because I’m so in love with you, I can’t see straight.”
“Then you should probably try it while you have the chance, Olivia,” he says softly, his mouth pressed to my ear, “because I’m going to be the first and the last.”
