To study history and geography, you’ll need a 3-inch three-ring notebook with lots of paper, a three-hole punch, art supplies, your chosen history “spine,” geography resources (a globe, a wall map of the world, and maps to color—see Resources for ordering information), and a library card. The history notebook will contain your child’s pictures, compositions, and narrations about history, and will organize the child’s history study for grades 1 through 4.
