Just as athletes limber up before a sporting event, it’s important to do some creative calisthenics before picking up your camera. Look at magazines, art, movies, other imagery—anything to help stir your creativity. This has nothing to do with copying someone else’s work; it has everything to do with untangling you from your safety net.
