Over the last two years, I’ve learned that my problems aren’t with the Bible at all. All the anachronisms, contradictions, and similar stumbling blocks I found in its pages aren’t flaws in the Scripture. Instead, they are flaws in the assumptions I hold as I read the Bible. I had long assumed that the Bible was a single book written by a single divine hand through many men, meant to contain God’s perfect and complete revelation for humanity.
