Most Christians wouldn’t be comfortable describing Jesus this way. But for me, it was a big step up from believing that Jesus was a myth. Accepting Jesus as an actual historical figure whose teachings created the largest spiritual movement in history gave me a relatively reasonable starting point for my decision to follow him.
