Kindle Notes & Highlights
The only way children learn how to play is if someone shows them. Most of us don’t realise how much babies take in in their first few months and years of life. They need interaction and intimacy and it plays such an enormous part in their development. It’s the kind of thing most of us do with our children without even realising it, like blowing raspberries on a baby’s tummy, playing peekaboo or showing them where their nose is. Most parents constantly talk to their little ones when they’re changing their nappy or while they’re taking them out in the pushchair and pointing out cars and cats.
