Ken Maginnis, the official Unionist Party spokesman on Defence, tried to combat the idea with sarcasm. In an obvious reference to Sinn Fein he recalled that the Bosnian conference had excluded leaders suspected of war crimes, such as Radovan Karadic and General Maladic.
