In the event the only substantive, if such a word may be used, agreement to emerge from the discussions was a four-point document which stipulated that: 1. A bilateral suspension of offensive operations would continue until 14 July. 2. In the event of a resumption of hostilities, twenty-four hours’ notice would be given. 3. On 14 July, a further meeting would take place at which the British Government’s submissions and documents in reply to points 1 and 2 of MacStiofain’s submission would be made known. 4.
