One day Jesus stepped into Peter’s world and shattered it. Jesus was teaching by the shores of the Sea of Galilee. As the crowds pressed in around him, Jesus climbed aboard Peter’s boat and asked him to push out from the shore. When Jesus had finished teaching, he told Peter to take his boat out into the lake and throw his nets out for a catch. Peter knew the futility of Jesus’ request, but because it was Jesus he obeyed.
