He loved American bands too, such as Paul Revere and the Raiders, the Cryan’ Shames, and the Left Banke. He also adored local Twin Cities favorites like the Castaways and the Jesters, who were featured on the Big Hits of Mid-America compilations put out by the Minneapolis-based label SOMA.
