So before we can find God, we need to seek God everywhere.
In most cases, leading a spiritual life means struggle, because as you begin to turn your focus more and more to God, the more you realize that the life you were living wasn’t much of a life at all.
People don’t fear change. They fear that their lives are going to be worse off than they were before the change. Change, in many ways, needs to happen by the spoonful.
The error isn’t in the actual boldness but in the focus. Instead of acting boldly in the name of the Father, we act boldly in the names of ourselves. The error, again, lies in where we shift our attention.
The devil’s greatest power isn’t possessing someone’s soul; it’s distraction.
