Secrets? i.e. if you leave the employment fields blank, or delete them completely for the co-applicant due to said co-applicant being a homemaker or retired this (the blank/missing fields) will cause the file submitted to bypass the APV (automated property valuator) triggering an instant request for an appraisal. I learned this around file #1020. Conclusion; I have spent thousands on appraisals needlessly simply because I was unaware of this system foible. I guarantee Brokers with ten years experience are reading this and uttering the words “no way.” Such is this business.
