We can’t find happiness or satisfaction or whatever it is that we’re searching for in work or in rest, apart from God. That’s the bad news. Here’s the good news. What if God set it up this way? What if this was all God’s idea? What if he’s up to something? After all, he was the one who cursed the ground. We sinned, true, but he cursed the ground. Why would he do that? Why would a loving, generous Creator curse his own creation? Is he cruel? Sadistic? Psychopathic? Just plain mean? Here’s my theory; I think the curse is a blessing in camouflage.
