Your pain cannot buy another’s peace. Your joy and establishment in wellness will help him more.
your most powerful contribution to humanity is your happiness.
True healers do not suffer with or for their patients. Instead, they invite their patients to meet them on higher ground.
The only message of the crucifixion is that you can overcome the cross.
Love does not kill to save.
“I am not the victim of the world I see”
“the kind of guy who has no troubles because he doesn’t want any.”
peace is a choice we make.
The body is a representation of mind and emotions.
Your body doesn’t cause your thoughts. It is a result of them.
The right-thinking mind regards pain and difficulty as a call for kindness and compassion.
Humility is a virtue. Humiliation is not. Humbling yourself means allowing God to bring greater life to the world through you rather than letting yourself be a pawn in the ego’s quest for blood. God champions your wellness and is doing everything He can to promote it. All else is a tragic misunderstanding of the will of God.
“All things are lessons God would have me learn” (W, Lesson 193).
Terrorism will end when we refuse to be terrified.
All journeys to all crosses are useless.
It is time for us to claim resurrection without crucifixion.
Mind creates experience. All of life is mind over matter.
“Magic,” according to A Course in Miracles, is the belief that an object outside of yourself has the power to heal you or hurt you; that the environment, rather than our thoughts, is the source of our experience.
Magic is the misappropriation of authority from the inner spirit to an external force. But there is no external force. You are not in the world. The world is in you. Everything that seems to be in the world is in your mind. There is nothing outside of you.
Magic is a projection of our innate power onto a neutral object. We suffer only from displacement of divinity.
There are no laws except the laws of God
All the authority you will ever need is seeded within your soul. Look there and nowhere else.
A key factor in healing is to work with the belief system you trust.
Use your positive beliefs to leverage you beyond the negative ones.
All dedication is a statement of belief in the power to which you subscribe. If you need healing, go confidently to the object of your faith.
What matters is that you act in alignment with your beliefs.
Acting on partial faith leads to perfect faith. Partial faith is perfect in the sense that your belief is whole in the moment you mobilize it.
all that is required for a miracle is a “little willingness”
Just point your mind in the direction where your faith lives, and success will ensue. Sincerity will take you farther than dogma.
it is your own faith that will heal you. Faith is more powerful than action because action is a tool of faith. Action without faith is impotent. When your actions are in harmony with your faith, you are in integrity with yourself and you will achieve your goal.
If you cannot claim perfect faith, claim perfect love. Belief in love is the most effective faith, because God is love. When you love sincerely, the power of the entire universe is behind you.
Love is the ultimate healer. Without love, nothing lives. With love, all things thrive. Love heals because it reminds us of who we were before we were taught we needed something from outside to make us enough.
The fear-based mind seeks power from the world, while the love-based mind brings power to the world.
God finds us where we live and speaks to us in the language of our belief. “. . . a miracle, to attain its full efficacy, must be expressed in a language that the recipient can understand without fear”
Genuine healing is holistic. The healing of the body proceeds from the healing of the mind, and the healing of the mind proceeds from the healing of the soul.
The Holy Spirit is the part of your mind that remains connected to the Mind of God even while another part of the mind is immersed in the illusion of separation. The Course regards the Holy Spirit as a person, the one true friend you can trust, who loves you more than the ego ever will. He knows the truth about you, understands where real help lives, and is generous in his willingness to illuminate your path.
The Course urges us to turn difficult situations over to the Holy Spirit’s care. This requires humility and trust.
But if you value peace more than arrogance and success more than struggle, you will turn to Higher Power for help and be open to receive it. And it will come.
The Holy Spirit works through people. At any time you may serve as a voice of guidance for another person, and anyone might serve as a channel through which the Holy Spirit guides you.
“Please show me” is one of the most powerful prayers you can speak. But you must be open to Spirit’s guidance rather than telling God how to run the show.
You can avoid painful trials and errors by inviting Spirit to guide you at the outset of your decision-making process.
God can and will do everything for you that you cannot do for yourself.
We construct our future by the consciousness we hold.
Follow outer advice only if your internal consultant resonates.
You can discern between the advice of the Holy Spirit and that of the ego by noticing the feeling or energy the voice or advice generates. Spirit is founded in love. The ego operates from fear. Love feels good, light, and peaceful and brings relief. Fear feels bad, heavy, and limiting and deepens distress. Love and fear are not entities, but energies, frequencies, or streams of experience.
The voice of love is your best friend. When it speaks, it feels familiar, safe, empowering, and trustworthy, like you are coming home. It is a pleasure to hear it and act on it. It works and gets results. The voice of fear feels entirely different from the voice of love. It feels creepy and cold and leaves you unsettled and upset. It does not deliver ease, solace, or peace. Instead, it thrives on demand, threat, protection, defense, and manipulation. It does not take you where you want to go. It does not relieve stress, but intensifies it.
A Course in Miracles teaches that struggle is not required, and we are provided for by grace.
When you have learned how to decide with God, all decisions become as easy and as right as breathing.
we must set our intention to rise above the mass agreement that pain is the parent of peace.
joy is not the result of struggle. Joy is the result of choosing joy.
