The Secret of Huntsville: The True Career of Rocket Baron Wernher von Braun.
This has more relevance to me as my father was a survivor of the Holocaust having been in Auschwitz (Monowitz-Buna), then to Mittlewerk / Mittlebau-Dora and then to Bergen-Belsen where he was one of the skeletons relieved by the British.
After the war he came to England and eventually worked at English Electric designing guidance systems (Bloodhound, Thunderbird and Blue Streak), he'd be excused from meetings when US rocket scientists came to visit the UK as they didn't want to offend and with my father my recognise them from Dora or worse they'd recognise him. He also was sent to the US as part of an exploratory mission evaluating US missile systems (as a quirk he had higher security clearance than his bosses and others on the team as the US could guarantee his history as he'd worked for the US Army while waiting to come to the UK), but though members of the team were granted permission to go to Huntsville (where Werner von Braun and his team were base) he never was.
