Reasons to Stay Alive

The weirdest thing about a mind is that you can have the most intense things going on in there but no one else can see them.

Your brain is going to explode. Brains don’t explode. Life isn’t a David Cronenberg movie.

Brains do explode. Not with a bang, not with a whimper. Sometimes with a an audible pop that leaves lifelong severe consequences.

Pain, of any kind, is a very isolating experience.

Maybe love is just about finding the person you can be your weird self with.

What doesn’t kill you can leave you limping for the rest of your days.

Kurt Vonnegut was right. “Reading and writing are the most nourishing forms of meditation anyone has so far found.”
