Your brain is super sensitive to the effects of cortisol. When stimulating your brain in the short term, cortisol will help with memory and focus. However, chronic or exaggerated stimulation of the brain by cortisol causes issues with long-term memory, focus, and attention to detail. Be sure to take regular breaks when working on projects. A good rule is 45 minutes of work to a 10-minute break.
