In logic, making an apology should be based on who is at fault, not whose feelings are hurt. Of course, in relationship situations, logical decisions can be far from appropriate. People who lean on Extroverted Thinking most of the time can find it very, very difficult to absorb the need to just apologize to make a relationship better. If they succeed at handling the problem, it’s probably by stepping out of Extroverted Thinking for a little while. Love isn’t about numbers or winning.
