Life was tough in Ladakh, no doubt, and perhaps that is what made these Ladakhis sturdy from the outside but very caring from the inside. Ladakh touched me deeply. What if I were born here? My goals and aspirations would have been entirely different. We were so ungrateful in our lives that we always complain of what we didn’t have instead of going ahead and creating a better future. At 14000 feet, these Ladakhi people worked hard and made a life out of barren lands.
