The guy was full of contradictions. At times she’d felt certain he was going to make a move, kiss her again or tell her something that would indicate he was interested. At others she was convinced she’d imagined it, nothing but wishful thinking making her see interest where there had been none. Because there was no way a guy like him would go for a girl like her.

Oh god… can we stop repeating the same thing? We know what she thinks and how she feels about herself and Kian’s behavior and her thoughts about the lack of possibilities of them being together. Makes me want to skip the entire paragraph until we get passed it.

The best thing to do was to let things unfold and see where they led.

That reply doesn’t remotely match all the shit she was just saying in her head about his caveman like behavior or how angry she was described to be.

The trip to Scotland sounded like a good idea in theory, but the truth was that he didn’t have time for that. He was drowning in work, and taking even a few hours off required careful planning.

Not to mention, first and foremost, that the Doomers are now actively looking for them in their city…🙄🙄
