whenever the two happen to coincide in the same area, the reaction uniformly has been that the residents drive the Bigg’s whales away. Bigg’s whales primarily eat harbor seals (over 60 percent of their diet), but they pretty much devour everything within reach: sea lions, harbor and Dall’s porpoises, even seabirds and squid (not to mention the odd moose).
