I think my journey to total abandonment started over a period of time. I think God brought me to my knees, mostly through tragedy. That’s when I realized just “why” we were put on this earth. It wasn’t to live for myself, to hold tightly to my family and friends, to give half of myself to Him . . . it was to give 100 percent of myself to Him 100 percent of the time no matter what the cost.
