Abraham adored God so much he was willing to leave everything he knew and follow him out into the wilderness. He had so much faith that God was real. He knew it, and he spent his life chasing after him. In Genesis 17 God promised Abraham a son who would father many nations and be the hope of the world. Abraham longed for God to deliver on this promise, even though his wife, Sarah, was infertile and could not have children.
