“Sit.” When she reluctantly did so, he held up a pitcher of blood. “Drink?” She shook her head. “Trying to watch my points.”
“What have you done to her?” she cried. “Obviously, I clawed her, bloodied her, and burned her. Now, oddly, I offer her up to you.”
“No, I doona care. Especially since you seem to accept that my mate’s a vampire.” He gave Lachlain an exasperated look. “I would no’ give a damn if she was a Fury, as long as you are content with her. And it’s clear you are.”
“I kept thinking it was about my choice, but it’s not. It’s yours. You can choose to accept me with him. Or I leave.”
