For the rational actor there is no problem that cannot be solved, no conflict that cannot be resolved. All we need to do is sit down, brainstorm, work out alternative scenarios and opt for the outcome that is maximal for all concerned. What rules in this universe is interests. Sometimes they are individual, at others collective, but interests are what are at stake.
