Let us look a bit more closely at some examples of Lord’s Day worship in the primitive Christian church. On the day of Pentecost, the fiftieth day, the first day of the week after seven weeks, the Holy Spirit descended upon the church, and the first believers were baptized. Had it already, after only a few weeks, become customary for all the Christians to gather together on the morning of the first day of the week?
