God reveals himself to us, and to the world, through limits in unique and powerful ways — if we have eyes to see. Consider these examples from Scripture: • Moses was limited by the fact that he was slow of speech. He shares his concerns with God, who then says, “Who gave human beings their mouths? . . . Is it not I, the LORD? Now go: I will help you speak and will teach you what to say” (Exodus 4:10 – 12). God makes it clear that he is present in and through Moses’ limitations.
